fuel pump problem
hey guys recently i have bought a bosh 040 fuel pump for my wagon and finding someone to put it in has been difficult. It is a fuel pump with mesh on the bottom and i have heard they are harder to install. Maximum motorsport said it cant be done and psi said it can be done but its a pump for a audi V8 and the slots that hold the pump in place have to be moved down to the bottom of the tank, so that there wont be any fuel surge. I was just wondering if any1 here knows any1 who will do it for cheap, i work with psi performance for SWL (structured Workplace Learning) at school, but they seem to be so busy and have been promising to install this fkn thing for like a month now. Im really desperate as my fuel pump is fukd and makes driving pure hell. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated Thnx
Davo.

pm joe, BALISTC, he might be able to help you out. Id recommend selling the pump. and using that to go get a better suited one.

AFAIK, Bosch fuel pumps are not made for specific type of car. u need to custom fit it. thats what happened when I had Bosch fuel pump on mine

Just call as many different places as you can to find out if they would do it, seems like the most logical solution but if you cant find anyone then you might just have to sell it and buy another

Bosch 040s are NOT, I repeat, NOT made for a WRX...they are made to suit cars such as Nissans, where the pump can be installed right on the bottom of the tank.
Can I ask who recommended this pump for your car?? The pump to suit yours is a Bosch 910, or an 044. |
