I am new to the forum and a very fresh WRX mod noob. Apart from cosmetics, generally when it comes to mechanical mods, I am completely fresh to it all. (attached is a photo of my cars rear)

Just wanted to ask for your opinions and advice.

The first mod i want to do to my stock WRX MY10 (wide body) is the exhaust system. Currently I am in research and is keeping in my mind the Ultrex exhaust systems. However I just wanted to know which of these types would you recommend?

Personally i prefer the latter (MY09-MY10 type) where it only has 1 tip per muffler, i like it simple and loud.

Questions are:
which one is louder?
would either type fit my car?
would my engine require a tune for Cat Back exhaust systems?

Not sure as to which is louder, I'd say they would be very similar due to the only difference being the tips

As for tuning it, don't *need* one for just a catback but you can get one and get a few kW afaik

Changing the catback alone can cause the G3 wrx/STi's to run lean without a tune.
