A little bit of progress but held up waiting for parts yet again. Fuck Subaru Australia being out of stock of parts that should be kept on dealer shelves never mind in national distribution centres.


Anyway, couple of pics:
Short motor finished.









Long motor is more or less finished just sourcing a couple of small parts.

First 100kms done on the new engine today.
Very very happy with it too.
The Wiseco pistons are a lot quieter than the Cosworth ones.

Car is a fair bit smoother too but I'm putting that down to the higher compression ratio I'm running this time round.

Can't wait to get this one ran in and tuned.

Had it tuned again today with Justin from BYE Performance.

Just Over 450KW (605HP) at the wheels and a significant improvement in response in lower to mid RPM which is exactly what I wanted this time round. Torque is higher and the curve is longer and boost is more consistent.

It's awesome to drive I just need to get it on a track somewhere now and use it properly.
