Default My can of worms

After a long time of penny pinching i finally bought some guages for my car. The only one (at the time) that i got properly hooked up was my mechanical boost guage.
Just after instalation it was reading -15 vac at idle.
I am lead to believe that -20 is more on the money, so mabey i have a leak? Also many of my rubber hoses are looking old and worn. So i bought an ancillary hose kit and intercooler hose kit.
Figured while im at it il re paint my intake manifold, install catch cans and put new gaskets everywhere i bugger around.

I found a few worrying issues on my way, so i decided to make this thread and post some pics, anyone willing to throw their 2 cents would be appretiated.

Issues that i can remember at this time

Oil in the intercooler is very common in Subarus...a proper catch can setup is a good idea.

Cool, was starting to worry that i had a turbo issue.

Btw regaurding the tgv to head gaskets and the manifold to tgv gaskets, should they be oiled before application? Or would it be a good idea to use some kind of liquid gasket on them to get a better seal?

Gaskets on dry with clean flat surfaces is fine.

ll the other stuff is normal for a subaru, they are oily messy things, engine may be a little tired.....or thrashed regularally which makes oil in cooler etc worse!, corrosion on water fittings means good coolant wasn't always used....if they are not rusted through clean them up and paint to protect.

So these 2 bolts on the outsides of the tgv's are the only source of pressured connection to seal the injectors in?
They seem pretty damn loose. Is it possible that the rubber seals of my injectors are old and hardened?
The rubber does seem fairly hard to me, and there was grit all over the sealing surface of the tgv's injector hole.. probably had leaks there
