Default Perth Tuning Workshops

Hey guys,

Been a minute since I last posted. Trying to get an idea of who the best tuners are in Perth these days within the WRX community.

Thanks in advance.

How I see it my list of three

Tokyo- Jamie if you want the cleanest and most responsible tune. I have no faults in his tunes

BYE - for your after market ecu
Specialists for LS v8
Has done many on here and mostly you could say race cars. Justin is an all rounder

Evo R - Mao, many shit him, however over time I have gained some understanding and have taken a few cars there. I have to say I am super happy with the tune, his knowledge to problem solving on the dyno.

I still use Tim Slako- West Racing in OsbornePark. He does a wide variety of cars starting with V8s but now WRXs, EVOs, etc.. He is on the conservative side, if you ask for something odd he is not afraid to argue with you.

Maximums would be the biggest Subie specialist, I have no direct experience with them, they support a number of rally cars as well as their own efforts.

Evo R- people report that Mao can get a bit touchy but I have had no issues with my dealings with him on small purchases.

Don't Maximum use Justin now?
Or does he just use their Dyno for BYE tunes?

MMS use Justin for MoTec and Autronic and some ECUTek.
Most of their ECUTek on Subarus is done in house.
Justin also uses their dyno for his BYE tuning...

Sean, runs ARB north now.
May tune for long term clients as word on the street Justin purchased the dyno

I won't comment on MMS

Tim has a great shop, no one states much about him in the Subaru world

Ive been taking my foz to Danny at Garage 101 since Sean's departure.. 450+ hp for 18 months and 500+ for the last 12 .. has not skipped a beat!

Ive had a couple sessions on dyno over that time a good 75% of time spent tuning has been driveability and focus on the mid range power power delivery... its paying off big time on track times and avg speeds!
