Default Hankook tyres

I am using Bridgestone S-03s on my STI now. They have about 50-60pct left but I'm thinking of a change. S03s are no longer in production so I'm looking for alternatives.

Hankook Ventus R-S2 (Z212) - anyone used these tyres before? They seem to be very well reviewed as a street/semi-track tyre. Are they avail locally and at what cost?

What is the most popular street/semi-slick tyre among the Subaru community? Those driving the 05 onward STI's which come with the semi-slick Bridgestone RE-070s (which obviously dont last very long), which tyre did you change to?

Tried the Hankook Ventus S1 Evo on my Work's wheels. I was very impressed!
$380 a pop, not too noisy, very good grip in the dry and for the few times they were driven in the rain, they performed well.

May try the RS2 for my next set of wheels. Simply because they've had good reviews, and are significantly cheaper than the S1's.

I have S1 Evo's on my '06 STi and they seem very good in all conditions.
Also the Federals that MMS sell are supposedly very good...they are basically an R Spec tyre.

I am merely trying to assist another forum member, so there is no need for you to get paranoid my friend. Perhaps you need to expand your narrow view of the world.
I actually bought my tyres (and wheels) from Wheels World in fact.
For your info, I do not promote, or for that matter, bag any workshop.

i am sure other places sell federal tryes, places that specialise in this department.. including wheels world, wheels of waneroo etc etc etc.. So why put in a MMS plug like u do in nearly every statement u make... That is what annoys me and most other members on this site..
