if you were curious, there was a recent thread about these brakes on rexnet here. general consensus was that they're more 'show brakes'. dont know anyone who has em tho.

Probably China spec just like everything else that Just Jap sells.

D2 are doing 8 piston brakes too...they look extremely similar to the G4 ones

http://www.d2racingsports.com.au/gpage.html

I wouldnt touch em with a 40 foot pole.

^^^^^ I am with you Joe. Cheap coilovers you might get away with. But cheap brakes??? The risk of failure is just too high. The rest of the crew have also made good points about replacement parts, pads rotors etc.

AP racing. Accept no substitute!!! LOL!!

The size of the actual contact area of the pads looks no dam bigger than the standard 4 pots. Rotors might be bigger but just go the AVO kit for a fraction of the price.

Build quality would have to be sacrificed for that price too, age old saying 'You get what you pay for'....

Mate who owns a brake store is getting a set to have a look at. Will let you know what he says shortly.

From what I'm led to believe the pad will be an off the shelf item.. ie they have copied something existing.

D2 G4 same same, all same.
