Regardless of the power though, the car drove really nicely with the tune. Im still finding that 220kw figure really impressive though for just a tune and TBE.
I have an 04 WRX with TBE, silicon y-pipe and Verso and its makes about 170kW atw (225hp) and ~300Nm.

170kw is pretty decent, bit of a difference between 150 and 170, would that be the ecutek 1.5 vs the verso ? all things being equal

Biggest diff headers made on my car was it revs more freely and smoothly than it did with the stockers. So it kinda revs out quicker with headers specially at high rpm.

thats because it has more power in the top end now compared to before simon... it doesn't rev out faster all of a sudden it actually opens up the flow and gains you power and torque to pull the car along faster... headers are great for getting rid of the choke hold the standard one's do... although as joe mentioned earlier, aftermarket up-pipe, cross pipe and header porting is another way of getting the same sort of results of added flow

Nice figures on the STi 06, wonder if it's as good on a normal 06 wrx

Of course not

The STis are only slightly more powerful than WRXs from factory but the components in them have a much great potential for power, bigger turbo, injectors, stronger engine and so on

Therefore a less conservative than stock tune will net far bigger gains than if it were a WRX

i wouldn't go round saying a 2.5 sti engine is really that much stronger . Still have the same problem with 255s and 257s
