Jaron, i'm not saying that the tuner isn't important, but its like laying bricks, u can give the best brick layer in the world dodgy equipment and even though he is the best, he won't be able to do a decent job.

I love how my comments are taken out of context - everyone thinks i've got a vendetta against Verso.

Show me one post of mine when I've said "Verso is crap!"? I've never said it - EVER!

I have had a crack at various people for not disclosing their Verso alliance & financial interests, but never have i had a crack at the product or tuner.

I'd love to read more about it as suggested by Moose, but where is their product data/web page to peruse? I think it's great that there is another reflash option in the market place, cause reflashing is a great option - I just wish it had been around earlier.

I'm happy to disclose to the PWRX community that I've been really impressed with my ecutek experience - but whether it's ecutek, verso or motec, having a shit house tune is not going to save your motor if it's been tuned poorly.

For DarkMoose to suggest that any car that's had an ecutek reflash is scarred for life is ignorate to the extreme. If Sean offered to tune your car with ecutek, would you say the same thing?

Anyway - I'm spanking the SM4 monkey now

Definitely get an ECUTek.

Reasons as to why you should:

1. Its great fun to pay a lot of money for something that you can get a lot cheaper, but a company needs to cover their marketing costs. Marketing is what makes the world go around, and we should support this cause as much as humanly possible. In fact, I'm considering donating my life savings to marketing.

2. It has less functions than its "competing" product, because the company needs to be able to make it n00b proof to all the tuners it hands out licenses to. This is awesome, because less functions = less time spent on the dyno which means more time that you can be out on the street chopping unsuspecting P platers in VL Commodores1!!1!!

3. ECUTek tunes are so good, that I've not seen an ECUTek tune come out of an 05 STi that was on the verge of going bang because it had so much fuckin timing in it. Nope, never seen that with my own eyes whatsoever.

4. I've never actually seen the timing maps in an ECUTek either from a few different tunes, and I've never seen that they are so dangerously close to making engines pop, that I'm surprised it hasnt happened more often....yep, they are really that good!

5. Its so very easy to revert back to your stock ECU once you've had enough of your ECUTek....the resale value of an ECUTek is fantastic. Think of it as the automotive equivalent of a stock market investment, without those pesky brokers bothering you day in and day out!!
