Default Is this a normal thing with full size wings????

Just washed the beast and noticed that there is what I think it a layer of fiberglass matting starting to work its way out from under the rear wing.

Is about 3 in. in from each side about 1 1/2 in. long between bottom part of wing and the boot. About 2 mm sticking out.

If I was to unbolt the wing and reposition or remove it would I likely run into problems latter.

Would Subaru fix it under warranty????

I thought the original wings were made of ABS plastics or something like that. not fibreglass.

I think it is a layer of padding between the wing and boot. I think it is fiberglass but hard to tell cos was wet when I found it. Probably a layer of felt but that is why I am asking.

Never had that problem with my wing but imagine it is just felt between the wing and boot. Suggest you just loosen bolts and reposition yourself.

Yah I had same thing .. black kinda cloth like material poking a little bit.. just trim it carefully with a razor blade and rip it out of there.

Yea that is what my mate suggested but can just see the back of the boot or me wearing a dirty great gouge mark.
