Yes until the ECU spat the dummy and swapped back to standard computer with AFM.
Bad bad mistake. And yes I knew about the AFM problems with a my99.

Warning to all newbie WRX 99/00 owners, either:
a) If on a budget, replace your AFM at least every year just to be sure ($180 ish) or
b) Get a V5 Possumlink for $600 ish and fuck off the AFM all together.
option
c) A Power FC for $900 and get a reliable Nissan 300zx AFM.

Now a decent tune and lets see how well I can strip 2nd gear.....
