I've had my MY07 Wrx for a couple of months and love it.
I do agree though that an 05 STI is probably a better option if you can afford the extra $. I mainly went for the MY07 because i wanted a brand new car over a 2nd hand one. The choice is yours, take both for a drive and see what you think.

05 STI, if u can afford the extra, after u'v driven a rex for a while the modifying bug will bite u. Sti is a better platform for modifying

Simon got that right - platform to mod from cause you know you are going to mod. Buy the rex mod, buy the STI and mod. Go and price up cost of brembos, suspension, and everything else that comes with 05 STI and you have your answer. Plus add dccd that you get with STI if you still have doubts. don't get me wrong as I love the wrx.

Well, 100% for the STi... ummm wonder which one I should go for?? Just gotta sell my car and I'll be in the hunt for a good condition 05 STi. Thanx again DRex

OK then, since the universal opinion is the MY05 STI over the MY06 WRX, what'd it be out of the MY05 STi and the MY06 STi?? Is it worth the extra cash to go for the MY06 STi over the MY05 STi??

Oh shit - here we go...
I'd still say EVO IX. If you have no intention of tracking your car or going wild with mods, go 06 (if you like the ugly pig nose) - otherwise 05. With the money saved on the 05 you can get some reasonable mods done.
