oh hi thar
I cant help wondering why all packaging for these top shelf car products always look like they were designed around the same time they were designing atari packaging.

Its not like they couldnt afford to send it to a real design house!

Worst rant ever - who gives a shit what it looks like as long as it does the job

Hes got the best ECU in the world, it could be shaped and coloured like a turd for all I care.

tuna 24-03-2007 11:48 AM

whats packaging got to do with a pnp ecu?

slappy 24-03-2007 12:22 PM

nothing, its got nothing to do with anything except its just odd that the packaging doesnt reflect the quality of the product that all. Would you expect a Cartier watch to come in a paper bag? I guess I'm too used to good packaging like ipods etc thats all.

tuna 24-03-2007 12:26 PM

it was second hand?

GX-REX 24-03-2007 03:36 PM
dont think so, a wrx rad fits straight in there.
have you done this?? i hope your right, gonna save me a little time when it comes round... i know the gx liberty was different to the rs liberty in the lower support but not many ppl can give me a straight answer on the impreza...

jEstEr? 24-03-2007 09:24 PM

its antistatic bubble wrap...

GTLeggy 25-03-2007 09:54 AM

So is that a M800 pnp...specced for ?? (04 STI or ?? special order ??)

Any re-pinning involved of the GT harness/ecu plugs to conform to the STI car/pnp wiring/pin-outs ??
Can it be optioned/will it run the exhaust AVCS cam ?...or are you deleting that wheel ?

Was this a better option that the verso tune ?

Did your GT cut(what year was it ? BP or BL ?) come with alloy front arms ? did one at least survive? sway bar ? bilstiens ?

Sorry for all the questions..... I`m still modding my car and not too many people have much info on them !

Cheers

Its an M800 purchased 2nd hand from a forum member, from an 03STI so it already had AVCS enabled. We'll be comparing the 03STI and GT-B pinouts and chopping & changing the harness as necessary. I'll also need to fork out and enable Drive By Wire too. As for the exhaust wheel, yeah I plan on having the MoTeC control both sets of cams.
I did intend originally to have a Verso tune, but after discovering the half cut's AFM was stolen and we couldn't find a wiring diagram for the JDM Legacy, and then the MoTeC came up at a great price, it was stupid not too. Plus I hate to think was dirty things would be said behind my back because I didn't get an Ecutek ;) Also as I understand the 06+ Legacy ECU was completely different to any Subaru ECU the team at Verso had seen before. I left my ECU with them to see what they could do, it might pay to e-mail them.

The cut was a JDM BP5, 2006. The car did have front alloy arms but were both mashed beyond usability in the crash http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showpost.php?p=110145&postcount=51

Swaybar wise, I'm pretty sure the front swaybar was also bent and ended up in the trash pile. And yeah, she had Bilstiens,I believe one strut is bent but both sets of front springs are allright, they are sitting in the shed.

Asking questions is good, thats how we all can learn what the go is with these cars. I just hope after all this work we don't find out the motor was shagged in the accident too!
