Tuning does nothing to an AFM.... weird call.
Intra, end of the day its a customers car.. and their money, if they ask for limits (or on the flip side ask you to go beyond what you consider safe) then you do as they wish. I saw a customer who had just got his GTR back from a shop demand his rev limiter be removed. He was strongly advised against this move as GTR's tend to break oil pumps when revved stupidly hard. He demanded it, they said here sign this disclaimer. 2 weeks later... it did an oil pump :) Whos at fault? Certainly not the shop. Who gets the rep though.... |

But i can see the flip side to this also.. so its a funny sorta paradigm
Thats why i said what i said above.. its a funny paradigm. |
Sorry man missed that :)
Hehe makes my post uneeded ! |
tuned by verso tuner (sean) and a tune is only as good as its tuner.
worth bringing from the grave it was true then and remains that way today ;) |
Is Verso applicable to BRZ ? got one coming and considering options for the near future
|
Open source tuning of the stock ecu maps is what Sean @ ASG offers and he uses a roller dyno to do achieve this.
There are others out there who offer a dyno tune using open source mapping. I have used Sean to tune my last three Subaru's and I have never lost an engine. I do not work or receive any commissions from ASG. |
Verso tuned, 1.6-7 bar, 480-500kms driving normally.
Fuel readings are norm for a "safe" tune. |
