sign up for HBF etc for a year then pay fortnightly or monthly. after a month is up, tell them you sold the car and cancel the policy

I have my house and contents with GIO and our two cars... pay $220/month for the lot. With extra policies on house and extra cover on cars. You will pay less for car being in garage and alarmed etc.. also depends on the post code you reside in too.
