I'm an Eagles (AFL), Subiaco (WAFL) fan as well as a lover of high performance vehicles. I also love girls and music and play the guitar and drums.

I heard about the cruise last saturday and that is how i got to learn about the existence of this forum and the special people who use it. I also got to meet some great people that night and declined the cruise to mandurah as i was too sleepy plus a girl was in need of my good lovin.

I recently purchased an Impreza and was so excited owning it that whatever the car dealer said went through one ear and out the other and now i've been hit with a $3000 stamp duty bill (vehicle transfer invoice). So please people if any of you is thinking of buying a car sometime soon just ask if stamp duty is included in the price cause this one hit me and it means I cant have Nandos for some time and I love e'm chicken.

also, i realised that my insurance cost has gone up twice as much which has sprung it to around the $2000/year zone. i thought this was mad and so i picked up my guitar cranked up the amp and played some black sabath to the point the neighbours would complain more about my music and not the noise of my car exhuast. anyways im slowly getting over it but i sure as hell could do without this extra cost as i need to feed myself and have a social life other than drive a great car.

Welcome, sorry to hear about the $$$ but atleast your getting some sexy time.............(having to beat them off with a stick is just one of the downfalls of owning a rex) Try looking up some of the threads on insurance, it will give you a good idea what other people are paying and you may be able to get a better deal out there somewhere, (depending on age and driving history etc)

Welcome, you gotta be careful with buying cars mate, there's always something you have to watch out for, new or second hand. Stamp duty, Warrenty, Rego.

Don't go buying a house in the same manner.

Sucks about the insurance. Did you try RAC? I got mine for around $1200 and I'm 23. Mind you I have never had to make an insurance claim, but its a brand new car too!

Anyway enjoy the forums, plenty of quality info on here!
