Default Hey People

Hey

G'day guys and girls.

My name is Josh and I recently picked my self up a MY 00 WRX. This is the first time I have been in the turbo/import game before. My other performance cars so to speak were V8 utes that I grew to resent, (not sure why). MY first passion how ever are bikes. I ride a k8 gsxr 1000 and Im in the process of molding her in to the bike I want.

I'm looking forward to working on MY rexxy, and so far she has the shittest 17" rims I have ever seen on her. Also a nice 3" zorst and a BOV. Like I said I'm new to this kind of car (4 cylinder turbo)so any advice or suggestions would be taken on board. I look froward to meeting some of you on a few cruises and learning what is best for my new toy

Cheers

Josh

Welcome Josh..great choice on the car and colour. Silver and white are a big YES for me:P However IMO change the rims. Good to see that your into bikes to. There's a growing majority of us into bikes aswell. I myself as looking at purchasing a Hyosung GT250 as just a weekend cruiser. However whilst overseas i rode the new RS125 and fell in love with it. Although i wish Aprilia released a new RS250 bike

Welcome Josh. I agree, lose the rims! Quick!
Great bunch of people here. Just use the search function before you ask a question, no doubt what you need to know has been discussed many times.

My other passion is also 2 wheels. Recently sold my 05 ZX10, partly coz i love the 08's and partly coz houses are expensive

The old search function. LOL It sucks talking about the same shit every time some one new gets a Rex LOL.

One thing I couldn't find on here so far is a turbo timer. Any one got they want to part with??

I just put the FE and chrome bar ends on so far. I'm waiting for the taylor made exhaust to come in and a few carbon fiber parts (Front guard and rear Hugger). Then I will polish the lip only of my rims leaving the spokes black, with polished wave rotas. Throw a power commander and braided lines on her. Tune. Should be done and down the strip in 10:1

Here is a pick the day I picked her up. Oh and my mate Neils wrx wagon

Is Neil's car [PRO WRX]? looks similar anyway...

Welcome to the site mate, loose the Rodney Jane spec rims for sure... get yourself some my01-05 WRX ones for now, until your ready to buy some lightweights..

also, Subaru's don't need Turbo timers, just try not to turn the car off straight after a session of spirited driving. Subaru have always maintained the opinion, if their car's needed turbo timers, they would have included them from factory..

so don't waste your money.

ps: nice bike too.

Looks more like [WRXWGN] than [PRO WRX] which has Work Meister S1 wheels...

Clean looking GC8... and love the bike!! Welcome!
