as the guys have said, you will regret not buying a my99/00 when it comes time to start modding.. plus they get all the ups of upgraded brakes, front end, to name a couple.

Not being funny, but $11k is probably a bit much for a my97 wrx, when a decent my99 will be had for $12k pretty easily.

my stock my99 was $13500 in exell nic, 8 months ago....12k is pushing it.
just double check the side tank on the radiator also...if not fixed early enough can need a new radiator....like me...another weak spot in that model..

Stockers car looks good for the price....tempting to buy it myself even though I just sold my GC8 a few days ago! (for a fair bit more than $9,000).

There still a fair bit of demand for cars MY98+ below $14k. $9k is good.

Thanks guys, will definately keep looking around. I do like the slight differences in the MY99/00 as well, I must admit. Slightly different dash, steering wheel, front lip, etc. I'd be very keen if i found one with decent K's under 12K. Cheers for the info, I'll definately watch the For Sale section on here as well..
