even though the km's are fairly low for the model, i think that price is a bit high.

either way, save your pennies and get a 99/00 model, the GC model had a facelift, and the gbox was made stronger (afaik)

there are a few good examples for sale here on the forums too..

Don't rush there are bargains to be had from time to time...I picked up a MY00 Version 6 Sti for $14k.

Jeremy's right, of the GC/GF8's the 99/00 is the way to go. A number of cosmetic changes were made, but with the 99 you also get the 4 pot front brakes.
I was one of the many that soon after seeing, or going for a ride in a wrx, wanted one, and bought the first one i looked at. Second gear went within 2 months, and the turbo the month after.
Shop around mate, you'll be a lot happier/better off in the long run.
