Hey guys and gals,
Im Andy. if you hadn't guessed already.

Moved to Perth from the UK in August, and i love it !!

Unfortunatly i had to sell me cars to fund the move and as yet i dont have another scoob.
I ran my own Subaru and VW specialist workshop in the UK and here in Oz im doing the same 2 brands but for someone else. Balcatta VW & Subaru.

My love of subaru started a little oddly....... 8 years ago. it was a brand i had admired from a distance due to the cost of buying and owning one in the UK being high. At the time i was a Vauxhall ( Holden ) enthusiast and built a 330 bhp Cavalier turbo. i'll post a pic, but only the brits may recognise it....

All my mates were moving over to Jap motors from the likes of Ford and Vauxhall so naturally i was keen to follow. They were all going for Lexus and Honda etc and i wanted to be diffrent. no one i knew owned a, scooby but i was in a petrol station and a Prodrive P1 rolled in and my god it sounded awesome !! I chatted briefly to the owner and thats when it hit me.... i want an Impreza..... So i bought one..... in Japan.
I was worried about buying a thrashed bag of sh!t so i did some research and settled on wanting an STi. I found the ideal candidate through a friend in Japan. An MY1999 STi Type RA V-Limited 900/1000. It was safe to say my first scoob was an animal - even in stock form. 300BHP, quick shift box, and quick rack. This car rocked my world i can tell ya !!!! i will never be the same
After nearly 3 months till i took delivery - i drove with a MASSIVE smile but things went wrong with it unfortunatly too often, but i wasn't put off at all. first the MAF went. Then the gearbox went, then the bottom end. I soon became some what of an expert and was not put off in the slightest. Soon i started to get customers asking me to fix their scoobs. Before i knew it, i was quitting work and starting up on my own. Now there isn't much i dont know about the brand and i have owned over 15 subarus. Pictures of my favorites to follow.

After running my own shop for 5 years, the economic downturn had taken it's toll and as a result, my shop sufferd. So, before things got bad and i ended up in huge debt, i decided to wind up my company and look for a warmer climate to bring up my kids and still play with Subarus....... so here we are. Perth - and hopefully history in the making

My STi Type RA was a a spectacular car, but i still wanted more from the brand. I had a buyer for the RA so i decided to look for my next impreza. I spoke to my m8 in Japan and told him i was looking for another car and he immediatly put me on to another supplier of his and he had one of my DREAM cars. I have a few dream machines in mind that i would love to own, but nothing to outragious. I would love a Porsche 911 GT2 - but i think it would dissapoint me and i'd get boared of it. As a boy, i always loved watching the Lancia's in the rallys - but this dream has be fullfilled. I have had an HF Interale Giallo Evo 2.
The most recent 'Want' is the new Skyline R35, i have always liked the later skylines and the new R35 does it for me
Anyways, a 22B came up for grabs cheap and i just had to have it. It was cheap because it was front end damaged but that didnt bother me. It had 13k kms on it and i had big plans.
I spent a small fortune rebuildng the front end and then had fun with the rest of it.

STi 9 Nitrided crank
MAHL pistons
Manley H-beam rods
Cosworth low compression head gaskets
ARP head stud kit
neomonic valves
reprofiled cams
Roger Clarke modified oil pump
Front mount intercooler
Exedy Hyper tripple clutch ( waist of money )
HKS vernier pulleys
fully balanced rotating assembly
Pectel T6 ECU with launch and anti lag
100hp shot of wet NOS
Full Cusco chassis upgrade - coil overs, and 4 braces.
Blitz NUR spec-R exhaust with Hayward and Scott 3" decat
GT Spec Gen 2 unequal headers with Jet hot ceramic coating
MD 321T+turbo
Apexi AVCR boost controller
Full DEFi gauge pack
SX fuel pressure reg
800cc SARD injectors
Carl Davey equal fuel rails
Full SAFETY 21 dash roll cage
Ro-Zest ZZ01 white alloys
Prodrice Alcon 330mm front brakes
Slotted brembo rear discs with prodrive pads and stock 2 pot calipers

I had her running over 490bhp + the NOS for a couple of track days but mostly ran it on the 380 map for daily use

My other favorite was my 2003 STi impreza.
This was running about 400bhp. I had it on the rollers running 360 before i tweaked it some more but never did a power run again before i sold it.
This had GT headers, Full hayward and scott exhaust with a modified miltek sports cat ( for sale here in Ox as i brought it with me ), MD321 turbo, fuel pressure reg and 650 injectors ( i think) lol. Defi gauges and Apexi AVCR. Ecutek remap.

Hope you all like.

Feel free to contact me if you need a mechanic. I hope to do some servicing and upgrades in my own time.

More pics of the 22B........

This is a pic of my shop in the early months - i was building another 22B at the time. I have had the honour of building up 5 22B's one is now in ireland and another is in Netherlands now.
