Some good advice in this thread already so wont repeat
the money i would spend on carbon would get me a lot of other goodies i suppose... however, when i step out into my driveway and look at my car i still think it looks a bit bland, especially without the front lip it looks like a GX with a tryhard bonnet scoop and ESPECIALLY because it doesn't have a wing... i think the front lip and rear diffuser are musts but i guess the boot and bonnet can wait

the VI only had 225hp at all four... new owner just gave it a new tune with an exhaust and it pushed like 245hp at all four or something but yeah had some stick to it with just the basic bolts ons...

does anyone know how much boost and power at the wheels the pig STI's push? have searched but can't find

The 06/07's aren't as accepting as the ole GC8's when it comes
to a TBE without tune and you don't want to do any damage to
your engine, so best to talk to Sean at ASG and he will tell you
everything you need to know.
yeah will do... as mentioned it's got the MRT exhaust so it's not stock but it's tiny and i have no idea what type, how big and where it starts/ends as i've never cared to peep under the car or have i ever had it on a hoist but yeah looking to change it asap... looks kinda prissy being so small

lol i'll be honest, all (majority) of the perthevo guys were telling me not too (as they would) but i thought a change would be alright... i was considering going to a mitsubishi dealer to test drive a IX and THEN make a decision but before i could take a day off work and test one out the Subaru guys called me and told me my car was ready to pick up if i wanted to go ahead with it and i didn't have a car so i thought what the heck...

we'll see how it goes with modifying... never know i may stay on this side but we'll wait and see

Aftermarket cabon bonnet would weigh more than your stock aluminium one, and attract way more police attention. with a good exhaust, air filter and a bit of boost, a decent tune should net you up to 300hp at the wheels, some decent struts and swaybars and it will be a completely different beast

hey Jester...

i just had a chat with someone recently who told me about the Carbon bonnet thing being heavier than the standard one so it looks like i won't be mucking around with the boot and bonnet...

gonna go with everyone's opinions here, throw on a wicked exhaust and air filter, a good verso tune with decent "street safe" boost that is acceptable for the street and do the struts and sways and i think i'll be happy for a while!

how much boost is on the higher end of the safe scale with these engines does anybody know?

and here are the pictures as promised! stock i know but don't stress, i'm looking to change that asap lol

sorry about the lack of pictures guys, i don't have enough time to go out much and take more with different scenery but i'll be sure to do so...

what are the best photoshoot places you guys have found to be a winner?

This car looks mighty similar to the one that was for sale at the Ford dealership on Albany Hwy in Vic Park.

Is this that car FEI-STi_REX?

Now thats a hot pig!
I ran 20/21 psi on my old Pig on a Verso netted just a tad over 300hp at the hubs (middle of winter mind you)
As for handling, if you favor lowered springs the King springs go pretty well on STi struts. Or go your Teins, Ohlins, DMS for your coilovers!
Best minimal handling mods would be: Anti lift kit, sway bars, links, camber bolts.

Oh and dont get CF its ghey! clean white cars look good just ask Jester, Fozzy
You just need a roof vent now!!

Congrats on the purchase. As suggested breathing mods, a good tune at around 1.4/1.5bar and go to town on the suspension, you'll have a very compliant daily and weekender.

lol i'll keep you guys filled in with what suspension gets done... as for the CF comments i didn't think i would get such varied responses! i'll stick with the idea to get a carbon front lip and rear diffuser and i'll drop the boot and bonnet idea... i've already got a carbon fibre exhaust shroud so that will look alright too once i get the new exhaust... roof vent hey...

oh yeah... should i get a wing?

it's really confusing me as to whether or not i should get one... i love looking sleeper and tidy without one but people have no idea and respect thinking it's just a GX or something... you'd be surprised as to how many people put their shit on my boot and lean on it if it's parked outside to the entrance of a popular eatery or place of the like
