Default It's good to be back

Hey everyone!
Its so good to be back behind the wheel again
About three months ago I cracked the head on my beloved 1997 WRX hatch,

After much deliberation and more than a few freezing mornings on my motorbike,
I've picked up my new toy!

She's a MY07 wrx. And i'm totally in love! What a fantastic drive!
with the 2.5lt turbo she really gets up and goes! And what a fantastic week for driving! Nice and wet

Running late for work, more to come soon,

Nice work mate... lower it, exhaust and then get yourself a front lip and you'll have a looker! I miss my pig hatch, even tho it was only NA, it was such a nice car to drive!

Any plans for it?

I'm so happy with the drive! So smooth compared with my 97. I guess its not that surprising. 10 years is a long time!
So she's basically stock.
*There is a dry K&N panel filter in there,
*Slightly lowered
*Legal tint
*Factory fitted sub (which is not in any way amazing at all lol)

On my old wrx I had a performance dry filter & 3inch S/S TBE (twin pipe)

I'm not too keen on getting a loud as exhaust for the newie.
I’m actually enjoying the really quiet ride.
Its a shame because i'd say that I got an extra 15% out of my 97 just with the exhaust.

If I was to do the exhaust I’d want something quiet for day-to-day but a bit of noise when I give it stick. Any recommendations?

The Brake pads need changing on the front right away. I'm been doing a bit of reading and it seems a lot of people are getting around on the Bendix Ultimates. They seem good value for money and a lot of people use them so why not?
No track days for me.
Just day to day "spirited" driving.
I want:
*low dust
*low noise
*better than stock stopping. (down the track when the rotors start to go I’ll seriously look at some DB4000’s or something similar

any other suggestions around the $100-$200 mark for pads (not including fitting) ???

You can't go wrong with a Buttler exhaust.
I've got Ultimates on my Brembo's & they're difinately not low dust but they work a treat.
