1997 green GC8 with the usual mild mods.

guys forgive my lack of knowledge. My background is Golf Gti then Mazda3 MPS and now WRX (all wheel drive..THANK GOD!!) But what does the "betty" refer to in relation to this model? Or do you all know I'm a drag Queen on the weekends?

yeah Betty applied to MY08's... They are starting to look a hell of a lot better...

ugly betty got coined after subaru ditched the sti sedan and went to a hatch only..the rest is history around here...personally only the hatch says betty to me...no offense to betty owners

he,he I'm with ya now. I previously had a red '08 3MPS and as far as hatches went its look was far superior to the WRX hatch. Only once the sedan was released was I ready to jump...not to mention the AWD advantages and tunability.

I could not agree more, and the bets are on at work that I will be getting an MY11 STi sedan before Christmas, but when you own one they grow on you. Ask all the bugeye owners.
I did not even like my peanut to start with, thought my MY00 was pure beauty, still do! Should never have sold it for an R33 GTS-T.
