Default Just saying Hello

Hi everyone,
My names Michael, i've just turned 17 and just purchased my first car. Its a my97 wrx with a '99 sti front. Its silver with a shade under 150,000 kms. The body needs a little work but nothing too serious. The main reason i bought a wrx apart from the fact i love them is that the folks wanted me in a four door, four cylinder 2 litre fairly new car, i just decided to add the word turbo to the list . At the moment im just enjoying driving it (with mum and dad because i failed my phase 2 so im still on my l's) and cleaning it, learning about it and just spending general time with the car.

Mods that came with the car include:
17 inch roh boost r wheels
pod filter
muffler
turbo timer
2 speakers and a deck, and the www.perth-wrx sticker

Believe it or not i just want to enjoy this car responsibly and look after it, i like to think i've worked hard for my money and i deserved something nice. I have a passion for all cars (especially those that are turbocharged) and am pretty much into everything (not in that way).

I look forward to meeting everyone and tagging along on cruises.

Nice first car! Good attitude too, wanting to enjoy it responsibly. If all drivers were like that the roads would be a lot less hassle.

welcome mate, ditch the pod filter for the standard airbox as you don't want to get defected the 1st time you get pulled over (and wrx + p plates, its a matter of when not if)

and yes great attitude, just be careful out there and maybe tag along to skid pan days to test your cars (and your) limitations

Welcome dude. Nice first car :-) get your p's then hit some of the driver courses at rac/dtec. Best way to learn about your car and how to make a more responsible driver.

Welcome mate. As said you've got a good attitude about performance cars (im still a young'n at 21 too but doing stupid sh*t aint on the road worth it)

Enjoy the car and the forums (and get down to a cruise/meets/skidpans as soon as you can)

Re doing daft stuff on the road - it's better to buy a ninja-spec PC, a widescreen monitor, surround sound setup, a Logitech G25/G27 wheel and a bunch of recent release rally/motor racing/F1 games. That's where I get my speed rush.
