Quoted for the truth.

Seriously if you are into clubbing, nightlife etc etc then Perth is probably going to disappoint as much as Tassie.

Also you have 3 months to rego your car here (take over the pits, and they are pits here not mechanics like Tassie).
Or you can keep the garage address in Tassie as long as you dont get a speeding fine here proving when you came over.

Default Driving to WA

Hi,
There are a few petrol stations that only have "premium", so I assumed it was 95 RON, but only a couple.
Police can be quite bad around 200km either side of the bigger towns.
Try and book accomodation ahead if you can, it can get hectic at places like Eucla.
Depending on when you come, you might only get 10 hours driving time a day (around 1100km) if you are sensible and avoid driving at dusk and dawn which are bad for emus and 'roos.
Last time I did the Nulla I went Eucla to Perth in one go, but that was with a co driver.
If you see plenty of roadkill, that is a pretty good indication that the animals are active at the roadsides in that area and a good sign to slow down and stop for the night asap.
I have done Perth Adelaide and return a couple of times.
Perth Sydney via Adelaide, Adelaide Sydney and Brisbane Perth so yeah, maybe 10-12 times across the Nulla in the last 20 years.
