Door looks good. But has that front right 1/4 got botulism. Looks like the automotive equivalent of cottage cheese thighs on a fat chick.

Yep the 1/4 and bonnet where damaged on the wreck let me know if ya see a rear end snmashed 01g gt

So. Stripping the motor. Went well until the can wheel removal stage the drivers side exhaust wheel was stuck snapped the reducer in Allen socket. Snap on too



Eventually tracked down new cam wheel and bolt so the old one met its fate .



Eventually got it apart and on table ready for clean and reassemble

Just realized I never posted an update for hg fix.........


Well the right exhaust cam was damaged and a newie was ordered from BC direct .... It arrived Tuesday sooo its re build time tomorrow


Everything is all laid out and cleaned up but want to do it under day light and without having had a few after work beers ...

The bolt for the cam wheel was extremely tight (did them all to factory torque when we built it) had a long 1/2 breaker and then a jack handle over that could not even crack it....

Resulted in grinding the head off the bolt and then tapping the last bit with a hammer and cold chisel which is something my mate has done many a time over 20 years working on Subaru's with factory cams and no issue


The retainer ring behind the oil seal half broke away
