Default First time WRX owner

Hi all,

My name is Wilson and this is my first time owning a WRX. Been wanting one for the past five years, and finally got my hands on one. These cars are just fantastic! Just too much fun to drive them (used to drive a Honda Civic, don't think I'll be ever going back to Hondas).

Hope to learn a lot from you guys about WRXs!

Here's a picture of my new toy

Currently it is fully stock. I don't have much knowledge about car modifications at all. That's why I'm here to look around for info to see what I can do and what I should and should not do.

Are you concerned about your warranty? I am about to pick up my 2011 WRX next week. It has just arrived in WA.

I'll need to find out what actually voids the warranty and what doesn't. Apparently, anything that affects the performance voids it? Don't quite know how serious they are though.

The rule goes, if something you modify (ie:exhaust) is the direct cause of the warranty problem, then yes it's void. Depends how far you want to go. I'm planning on doing, rims, coilovers, cat back exhaust for now, and I'll see how it goes from there

It is the standard colour and I believe it has been called Anthracite.

If you want to have a wrx that handles like a wrx, then some basic suspension and handling mods are needed!

Welcome to Perth-WRX!
Enjoy the club, come out to some of the regular events and don't feed the trolls!
