what year is it?

keypad could be in valet mode, or disabled. either way it can be turned back on so you need it to start everytime

usually they write or put a sticker on the front of the car somewhere indicating the belt has been changed. Any subaru mechanic will be able to tell you. Get it inspected by someone like the guys at STechnic and they'll also check it for other faults.

Good luck

2000 model.

Its probably not going to be able to get it to a mechanic since its not a personal sale rather a car yard (fail i know)...

it was raining today but afte taking it for a drive tomorrow ill have an idea of how it drives and also make sure there are no oil leaks

If a yard will not allow you to take the car to be inspected by someone of your choice, avoid them.

no worries, i never asked but unfortunately i cant get there until 4:30 ish..doesnt give much time to get it over to a workshop...

they said the cars they get are tradeins from dealers so they never see the owners...have no idea if it was a hoon or an older person...cars in good nick and floor carpet has barely any wear..but need to be cautious of the heads and engine i guess...among gearbox and cv's etc

I brought my car into STechnic for a full pre-purchase inspection and they identified so many things that you wouldn't normally pick out. All they need is just an hour, and the check is pretty comprehensive. They'll even test drive the car to make sure that they didn't miss out on anything. Super duper highly recommended that you do this before buying a WRX.

Make the guys from the caryard take the car to STechnic for you. Not like they have much else better to be doing. They want to make a sale, they'll do it for you

He said he will pressure test the cooling system hoist it up have a look all underneath etc.

check for leaks and what not, cv boots and joints...play in the wheels and whatever else needs to be looked at...

I need to do a revs check on it though and i dont have the numbers.

Get them to take it to BlueStar in Wangara if STechnic is too far for them.
