Compared to the 08, the 09+ have decent stock power/torque.
I would look at any of the following:
  • upgrade sway bars (& possibly end links)
  • lowering springs/firmer springs, or
  • custom spring and strut kit
  • roll centre
  • camber bolts
  • gear shifter bushings
  • engine/transmission mounts & bushings
  • better tyres, or
  • wider rims and better tyres

As Mitch stated above, there are a number of differences between the two models (both interior and exterior).

Picked her up Friday, done about 450 km's so far!
This car is so much fun to drive! I love the grip and acceleration.

I've noticed a bit of road noise between 70 and 90 km/h, a bit like a whirring noise. i'm hoping it's just the tyres as they need replacing soon.

Here's a pic of her up near Cervantes yesterday.

Guessing gearbox noise or tyres.
It seems that due to the tread pattern of performance tyres (if equipped) that you will get a bit of noise.

You can upgrade your stereo to drown out the noise, get an exhaust to drown out the noise or get some tyres that are designed for comfort/noise levels at the expense of grip.

Why do the tyres need replacing so soon if you bough it from a dealer?

The fronts are recent but the rears are probably only good for another 5,000 km or so. They are Dunlop SP sports. anyone know if they're considered a noisy tyre?

Dunlop SP Sport 01 are the stock tyres on the MY09. Not sure what other models came out with them. I found them a little noisy but not unbearable. Check the review tab for some more feedback.
