emjay: get yourself a sheet of perspex/clear acrylic for your models to stand on. It will help with light spread in the bottom third of your images, make cloning out the foot marks easier and give a nice soft reflection. Alternatively get a second light source in there. Alternatively, get a larger light source/modifier. You want the background to be pretty much borderline over-exposed for the most part, and pushing the exposure will do wonderful things for your models' skin
