Talking Back!

Hey all,

I wasn't around for very long when I got my 2012 WRX and had to sell it back due to the horrendous commute. A lot has change since then and I am living ten minutes from my job now (same job) and finally have gotten back into a WRX. I have a Rally Blue 2003 WRX I got to pick up tonight from the dealer. It only has 125k KMS on the Odometer (quite low for the year) and came with a JVC Double Din Head Unit, a Greddy Turbo Timer and an XForce Exhaust. She needs a little work (faded black trim on a few spots, headlights need a polish) but I love her so far. Just wanted to say I am back and I look forward to getting back involved in stuff like the track days, meets, etc!

Thanks! First thing my wife says when she sees the new car tonight: "are you planning to do something about those wheels". Me:"Yes I plan to replace them". She nods in agreement. I love her. Wheels are definitely on the list.

I noticed today there is a random and infrequent occasional drop in RPMS for a fraction of a second idling at a light in neutral. Forums tell me to check the Airflow Sensors and make sure its clean. In terms of mods, any thoughts? I am thinking Cold Air Intake (not short ram), Boost Controller, new speakers and a tune to start with. Long term thinking upgraded turbo and FMIC.

Any suggestions on first mods?

Leave stock intake. Do the intake silencer removal mod if you want noise. Buy 3" tbe, grimmspeed 3-port boost controller and have it tuned at ASG or MMS. Only gains to be had from the intake wll be noise if you do it. Better of with the above mods first if you are set on getting a tune.
