Default Intercooler

hi guys my name is Mark and i have just joined ya mad WRX club.

I am in the process of rebuilding a badly smashed 95 wrx wagon, while i am doing the rebuild i was thinking of installing a front mounted intercooler because i have heard that the stock is pritty crap! i have looked at kits but i am unshore of what is good, trying to keep costs down how much would i have to spend, for a kit, and what do i have to modify, please help

buy a cooler from anywhere works auto accessories have them for 300 bucks
go to embleton engineering and get them to custom make your piping bout 900 bucks
cant beat custom piping

what about a kit from over east i have seen a few for around $900 with every thing, do you think its worth the trouble or should i just settle for a custom set up? and would i get bad LAG with stock Boost settings

yes u will get lag.

what kind of cooler u want? - tube & fin or bar & plate? both offer their adv and disadv.

you can pickup up bar and plate cooler kits fairly cheaply - search around. >$1000

tube and fin ur looking at custom setups or jap kits <$1200

btw, tube and fin are more expensive, because they actually do a better job.

dunno whats popular - depends how deep your pocket is.
