Yeah decided against it the 95 is just a bit too neat as it it to mess with it. so 95 back up for sale. Ill use all the good stuff off the 98 to make the 96 into a neat weekend cruiser

And just because all my.friend thinknIm a poster child (at 38) for adhd. Ive sold my daily 96. Amd kept the 95. It now has the stainless cat back exhaust from the 96. Is jazma any good as a brand? The only brand name exhaust Ive ever bought was 5zigen and lukey. Did that little bit of fun change over on wet gravel. In the pouring rain.... As my nice dry concrete workshop floor was blocked by the 98 wreck... sooo much fun I wish every one could do it at least once. Tho, now I think I could change a cat back on a gc8 in less than 5 minutes on a standard driveway. Barring stupid mods or rusted/rounded bolts. Got the car booked in to get the rocker cover gaskets fitted on monday. Already bought them just cant be bothered. Plus they will degrease it aswell. Took it for a 100k spin today. Much quieter without the extra holes in the exhaust. Rev limits at 8000. Need a boost gauge I think. Any recomendations? Amyway itsngetting.another 100 k trip tomorrow. If its going to give.me issues Id rather it was before I put it in to pit.

Was selling the 95 (again) so when someone was looking at it. Suddenly it developed a problem it hadn't had before. When coming on boost it jerks loosing power not every time but only when boosting with the foot down. Its behaving like a fuel cut. So Im thinking change the filter and pump tomorrow see if that helps.... amd I was selling because Ive bought another wrx.... a regoed 2000 with a blown engine amd a whole heap of bits missing. But as its the same as my 98 wreck. It should be back on the road soon. I hope.

Just got the busted engine out. That was fun. Someone had snapped off a bolt in the clutch fork pin. Some swearing, a bit of wd40, patience and a good magnet got it out. But progress. Also noticed split boot on the inner cv under the turbo. And the steering rack boot. Looks like a quick engine swap is about to go into full blown rebuild mode. (Like thats never happened before) and whilst I'm at it a couple of pics.

Body looks good, even if it is pink!

Sorry. Only said that to wind up Matt if he is reading.

Good luck with the build.

Cheers. Its pretty stripped at the moment. Unluckily he had sold the rear spoiler so its bungs in holes till I can get one painted to match. And aside from a few small carpark scratches the body is in really good condition. Better than the donor. Haha. And pink isn't as bad as brown....

Pulled the clutch off the busted engine. And Im thinking I may aswell use the gearbox from the wreck aswell. Warped friction plate no meat left on it and radial fractures in the flywheel. Looks like the transmission may have had a hard time aswell.
