Default Wtb turbo

Hey guys first post just joined the forum.

Im wanting to buy a new turbo.

At the moment i have a vf35 with a shit load of play in it. Iv got a 03 blob eye with an ej207 block. Was at 22psi since i got the car 11 months ago. On the dyno it made 160kw and 419tq i was happy with the tq but a little disappointed in the kw. I blew two 5 speed boxs since i got the car so now im getting the 6 speed swap. I would really like 220+kw

Mods
Ej207 short block
Cp pistons
Rods unsure
255 fuel pump
565 injectors
3 tbe
Perrin CAI
hyperflow (genuine) FMIC
Stand alone ecu cant remember make
Boost controller
Vf35 22psi
160kw/419tq

What stock location turbos are out there for sale. Show me what you got 20g or something that spools ok and good power for my little 2l

I have a Blouch dom 2.5xtr forsale at the moment. Turbo will make easy 250-300kw with correct supporting mods. Check the for sale section.

Yeah true that im maybe aiming a little high in reality. Would be mad laggy on my current set up though and at the moment with the gearbox swap ill be running out of coin for mor mods to benefit the dom 2.5. Was keen on 20g size or 3071 maybe.

You do realise a 20g will spool slower than a dom 2.5. Infact, this dom 2.5xtr spooled faster than my old blouch billet wheel 18gXT, on the exact same engine/car.

Also. You do realise that a dom 2.5xtr IS a gt3071. It has a genuine garret 3071 CHRA and turbine wheel, but is coupled with blouch's own billet wheel aero compressor. Then they use housings that bolt ont subaru without much drama at all.

Just sayin...

Iv not seen any results of a dom 2.5 on a 2l

I can get a 20g cheaper than 1700 and have seen results.

I cant find anything on a dom 2.5 on a 2l so im not gonna gamble sorry. If it was a 1.5 maybe but still i dont want to pay 1700 for a second hand turbo. I want a put me on untill i get a new one and have more work done to the car.

The reason you dont see results is because most of the 2L crew are pussies, who'd rather use slow as fuck TDs or 15yr old OEM VFs. They then complain when they only make 2XX HP.
seagull, munya, Patch and 2 others like this.

True pussies ay dont cry because i dont want your turbo mate. If i was going to get a blouch it would be 1.5xtr and id pay the extra 500 for a brand new one. And theres a fair few 207s well over 300. Glad to see this is a friendly place to ask for info anyway. You prove to me that the dom2.5 is a good choice for a 2l. Daily Ill wait

Dom 1.5xtr has the exact same compressor as a 2.5xtr. The ONLY difference between the two turbos, is the 2.5 has a slightly larger turbine than the 1.5. Not many 1.5xtrs are gonna make 300kw. And those that do will be very well setup with all the correct support mods.

I think its funny how you want a 250-300kw@w capable turbo, even stating you were looking for a 3071 to begin with. But then get scared when someone offers you what is effectlively a 3071 in stock location config, with a faster spooling, better performing billet wheel compressor. Then you also want something like a 20g which is gonna spool slower than a DOM. But complain that the DOM is gonna be slow to spool. I know for a fact this turbo spools faster than a billet wheel'd 18g.

BTW. The dom2.5s cost $2400, so $1500 is abit more than $500 cheaper.
