Default KiDo Tunes in PERTH 24th - 28th Oct

We are pleased to announce that Matt (Throttlehappy) will be in Perth tuning Subies from 24th-28th Oct.

If you have not heard of the fantastic results Matt has been getting with his very unique tuning then it's time you found out.

If you are on the waiting list for a remote tune, and you are in Perth, I suggest you send me a PM and we can get your tune done in person.

What can you expect from a tune?

When Matt does a road tune he produces a car that has huge improvements in driveability, smooth throttle response and a wide flat torque curve.

There are some customer comments here: http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/688596-post53.html

Others say:

by xyz » Sun Aug 26, 2012 9:29 pm Im so impressed with the car after matts tuned it... Had a hpf tune first, then went to springy motors.. Im actually quite disgusted with them both now.

by Tim_ » Mon Aug 20, 2012 2:23 pm I had my 06 3.0r 5EAT Lib tuned by Kido a few days ago. So far i am absolutely loving it!

Pulls harder and longer through gears, Idle's alot better, faster gear shifts, better fuel econ, easier to drive through bumper to bumper traffic...just improved the whole drive/feel of the car.
This guy knows his stuff and i wouldn't hesitate handing over my money to him, esp considering he wont charge anything if you are not happy and offers a free re-tune if you come to him.
Thanks again Matt!

Tim

Matt tuned my MY08 3.0RB (auto with SI drive) about 2 weeks ago and the drive now is so much more engaging and it pulls so much harder (more torque) and yet feels so smooth - even on I mode! The sports mode is super engaging and the sports# mode is simply out of the world.

Fuel economy has so far improved just a little bit (0.2L/100) but then again, I haven't driven the car on long trips after the tune...usually stuck in Sydney's traffic.

Definitely recommend anyone looking for a tune to consider Matt's service - he's a walking Subaru encyclopaedia!

Correct, road tune.

I think it's the best thing actually, because I find I spend a lot more time on the road than on the dyno in daily driving.

A dyno is a tuning tool, it's a rolling road... So you don't have to do WOT pulls on the street.

I have been told you dyno a car 90% of the way and you road test/tune the last 10% to make sure it drives properly, no flat spots, boost curve, etc.

I agree, a dyno is a tool for tuning, and while it is undeniably useful, it's not essential.

The reason a road tune, or finishing off a tune on the road are 2 little things called ramp rate and inertia. Neither of these is reproduced exactly on a dyno, but by magic they are always correct on the road as the car mass provides the inertia and ramp rate.

Curious as to who is driving for the road tuning?

How do we go for things like insurance should there be an accident or hoon law / police issues?

Cheap price for the tunes though!
