Default Time to update my ECU.

I've done a bit of searching and can't find exactly what im looking for. I remember reading it somewhere, but I'm over sifting through shit.

I'm currently running an Autronic SMD and i'm just not getting the results out of the car that i should be getting. Sean suggested a more modern ECU may help. Plus E85 obviously...

From everything I'm reading the new Link unit seems to be the go. I'm sure there was a thread with REXXXED giving a run down on variations and average pricing of the models, but fucked if i can find it.
I'm also reading that Justin from BYE is the man to see now. He used to tune my old VZ and i was always stoked with his work and just him as a bloke in general.

I'm away for work and can't ring anyone, so can some of you kind chaps please give me a brief run down of the direction i should be heading.

tl;dr Need new ECU for GC8. I like A/L purely to be a tosser and rotational idle is also a sexy feature i wouldn't mind to keep also.

Hit me.

I can wire in an ECU and more fuel pumps for you if you want.

As for ECUs. Quite a few people including myself are using Link G4+ series. A Fury would be a good choice, it will run a EJ no worries, and do your AL / rotation idle. And has built in wideband aswell. And i belive Link is a pretty popular choice with the WA tuners aswell.

Just out of interest, where is the Autronic letting you down? What is it you want to do that the Autronic cant?

I was expecting that also VUSSUTE.
2.5L, Dom 3, bigger than 272 (284?) intake and 272 exhaust.

312AWHP on 98. was disappointed to say the least. To be honest, i thought the ECU excuse was a bit of horseshit. This was about a year ago. Probably more if i think about it? After all the bullshit this car had gone through, ie built motor eating shit during run in, second built motor rattling from first start. I finally had it all finished and took it in for a tune only to get kicked in the balls. It just took all the wind out of my sails and ive barely driven it since.

I'm a bit older now than when i started it and im over spending money on it. But every now and then i look at it and want it to be what it has the potential to be.

Might just take it to Justin as is and see what he reckons.

Definitely take it to another tuner, those numbers don't make any sense. What psi is it at?

Can't remember now. Chart is sitting on the roof of it in the shed.
Closed deck, darton sleeves, forged spinning parts.
I told him to feed it, he didn't.
