Headin down for sat/sun workin the road closures... Stayin at the nannup hotel for the night but will have to head over to busso sat night for the special stage.

Curious as to were everyone else coming down will be stayin and downin a few alcoholic beverages afterwards? Anyone headin down for the day and have a stage in mind that they will be viewing?

Pretty sure the nannup special stage is during the day so I will miss that one will just have to get the missus to drive into busso sat night so I can drink a few unless theres some bus runnin people back afterwards?

Either way will be a good weekend away!

Driving down Friday arvo. Majority of our team are staying in cottages in Nannup, others are camping/caravans. Will be on Ellis Special Stage and looks like I'll be Post Chief at the start or arrival control. Feel free to say hii (I'll be the one wearing the blue bib that looks like a dress on me haha)
Can't wait

Ooh yeah fair enough!
Not too sure... I'm hoping we are going to sit around a camp fire, have a bbq and a few drinks like we used to... but we will see. Pretty keen to have a drink tho! Might even head into town to the pub seeing as I can :P

For those of you who can't make it, but want to check the results, (which are billed as live results) Rally Live Powered By Honda

Douggie was 5th in stage 1, early days but only 6.1 seconds behind Tom Wilde in his Evo X, with Stone, Hynes and Del Toro in between.

But really its all up to tomorrows and Sundays dirst stages.

Well that was a good spur-of-the-moment weekend.
I drove down to Bussleton SS on Saturday arvo and watched the cars start from the Start/Finish line with Steph and Lockie
(Lockie who has been involved in every event I have been to for the past 6 months... this guy doesn't sleep I tell you!).
Then Sunday I signed up for a road closure on one of the stages and spent that day with Adam and Nat (silver_opal) watching the cars cover us in dust.
Tom Wilde was amazing. On the Busso SS he was power sliding it an inch from the concrete barriers
and on Sunday's stage I can promise you his car was the fastest going past me and the latest to brake into the following corner!
Bloody quick and I understand he was running a restrictor too so he can 'get used to' the car.

Anyway... time for some pics. More pics + vids to come in the next few days.

PS: I know Im not a great photographer but if you want pics just ask and I'll send you hi-res ones. Have respect and don't just copy'n'crop these without permission.

That mad cnut in the green GC-8 who was going sideways everywhere with brakes glowing, chucking rocks and making the moistys moist.

This is my mechanic and hence I cannot show his face on the internet.

A wild Tom Wilde appears – he's super effective. or something.

Man of the hour...
