Prepare to be shocked no runoff and lots of stuff to hit but if you get it right is very rewarding. P.s make sure you have good brakes you will need them.

the brakes held up at collie and barbs in the in the day time, they should do the job for rallysprint

That's my thoughts, it's an awesome event but probably not ideal for a beginner punting their daily driver around. Even the kerbs could take your car out of action for some time, let alone the poles and bollards... and no insurance

I'm kind of surprised that you can do it without a cage in the car, some of the service roads get pretty high speeds with trees lining the road? Or am I thinking of something else?

Don't get me wrong, great event!!

At the briefing before the event they always remind drivers without cages to take it easy, they have some agreement with cams to let none caged cars or something along those lines, maybe someone can explain further on this

What's the difference between this and a barbs track day?.

Hit a wall at barbagallo and you'll rearrange your car no issues. Hit a sand trap sideways and you'll roll the car.

If you don't wanna hit stuff stay off the loud pedal and leave a lot more in reserve.
No one forces anyone to go 10/10ths, just like at a barbs track day.

Massive difference... Barbagallo has big run offs, you can have a big moment at a proper race track and there's a good chance you'll do no damage. At rallysprint, you don't have much room for error. That's all I meant.

You're right tho, you don't have to push it beyond your limits

Bumping it up. Rallysprint is on again tonight.

Most of the usual suspects are in, who else is attending?
