Front pads needed to be changed so he had to drive to Perth to get them then he blew a radiator hose on Sunday morning....but he did get some laps in and the car seemed to be going really well.

Too much power blew the radiator hose off?

Plus one for his effort and determination, hopefully the hose failure issue will be resolved.

Those Go karts where smashing out low 51 second laps, topping out at 140 - their corner speeds must be massive!

As Steve stated in an earlier post was great weekend and thanks to the organisers and event staff.

Must say that I've had a pretty blessed time while racing up until the weekend just gone..

Brakes died on the Saturday, mercy dash to perth for the spare set that would normally be in my crate that I take but had made their way to the shelf in my garage..
New pads, flush fluid Saturday arvo ready to rock and roll on sunday, hit the track few laps in I start getting clutch slip then on the same lap watch a big plume of what I thought was smoke out the back. Luckily was only one corner from the pits and pop bonnet to find my top radiator hose has sprung a leak. Dodged a bullet, only lost about 250ml of coolant so now it's time for a new clutch.
Big thanks to Graeme, Wayne, Simon and Justin for running a seamless weekend. Bacon and egg burger on Sunday morning after camping the night at the track was superb and Simons bonfire skills will take some beating.
Numbers were great but there's still plenty of room for more entrants, so keep the diary clear for this time next year.

LOL. Why am I not surprised that Simon knows how to deliver a big f-off fire.

Glad to hear it was all a great success - bar the odd mechanical issue which is to be expected.

It gets cold in Collie as you know.
