Hey guys, thinking about getting an Electronic Boost Controller. Spose im wondering, with a stock TD04 turbo, with stock internals etc what would be the highest i could boost the turbo from (aparently they run at 8psi or sumthing stock) but at the same time maintain a safe level of psi. Pretty much, how high can i boost it psi wise, without frying shit.

8psi stock or around 0.6bar? nope last time i checked i get around 13psi and it is stock, reading from the ecu...i have a my00 i must add.

from what i've read b4 and the general consensus...you dont wanna push them over 16psi coz they'll start blowing hot air.

If you dont wanna spend the money on upgrading the turbo/ecu just get a turbosmart manual boost controller...for what you pay for they are pretty good.

But really...do it properly, new turbo, EBC and a TUNE!!!

stock its runs about 11.75 or sum shit, dont go higher then 15-16, this has been covered heaps before. use the search button. dont bother with a manual boost controller either.
