I dont know about u guys, but if some dude walks into my room, and attacks me while im ASLEEP, im sure i wont have the alertness to wake up, reach under the bed and grab a machette or hammer or whatever the fuck u guys carry under there.

I'll just stick to a decent insurance policy i think! Although having a car that i can control when its in trouble sounds pretty fun to me!! 1K is fuck all on a car thats worth 40K++

Nothing wrong with the Brant JME...at least they don't get to even start the car. I've never had an issue with Brants on the current or last car...ie since late 2001.

I'd looked at the Brant, and may still go down that route, however if some fcuker steals my car, be nice to know there's a chance of it being found prior to being stripped and disappearing off the face of the earth.

Brant's good dont get me wrong but when some
dodgey drugged up mofos have broken into your
house when your home and demand your pin by
either bashing you or your missus you will give them
your pin for safety of yourself and your family.

Where as if you have the GPS tracking/dis-arm system
you can let them take the car without possibly putting
anyone in anymore more danger and then once they are
far enough away from your house for them to be bothered
coming back you can direct the cops to there exact location
and automatically dis-arm the car.

My 2cents.

Having looked into it further, the Ezitrak as recommended by Fobz seems to be the way to go, combined with a decent alarm system.

I have EziTrack,

It is self monitored. That is, I have to pay for the phone SIM (around $8 a month) in the unit. When something goes wrong (alarm, tow away etc) the unit rings my mobile. I can also lock/unlock doors and kill engine from my phone.

At any time you can ring the car up and you get a nice female voice
which guides you through a menu system like online banking.

From there you can GPS position, speed, kill engine etc...

Installed it myself and integrates well with existing alarm, timer and anti-hijack.
