i had a straight pipe welded up with flanges either end. then i had the cat chopped out of the exhaust and had flanges welded either end of that aswell.
now i can just swap the cat and straight pipe around when ever needed (pits) |

Is that like the same law as if your found not running a cat in your car you get a $10,000 fine that I and noone else has ever heard of being enforced?

Dont bother bashing the cat. Why waste a perfectly good cat. Just go to an exhaust place, tell them you want a "race pipe" and some flanges made up and away you go. Easy swap!
Mettams was very helpful to me. Like i said to the guys down in Morley, if i get pulled up at the pits for no cats, its hardly their fault. He told me what is legal and what isnt so he did his job. Rest is up to the car owner. Although in an NA lib i wouldnt worry. The only reason i went catless was because i was poor in those days and straigh through pipe was cheaper than buying a 3" high flow cat Now.. onto removal of the feline kind... |
