Default squeeling noises

Hey I got squeeling noises on my left wheel, it happens randomly when i drive, when i tap the brake it goes. sometimes when i brake it squeels, my pads and all are still full, i asked around and they say its normal because its dry, is this true??! does this happen to anyone else?

thanks

Had a similar problem on my wifes old car(Not a WRX). One minute it would be fine then all of a sudden start squeeling, it used to drive me crazy...We tried new brake pads and got the rotors machined..was ok for a while and then started again. I was told it was the type of pads we were using.

Eventually sold the car so never found out what the problem was.

But i feel your pain..

Also aftermarket pads do this aswel sometimes. I know my GC8 squeels when i brake sometimes, and was told by my mate that is a mechanic at city subaru that it was most likley because of aftermarket pads.

I had this twice.. Once it was a stone caught in the gap between the rotor and gaurd and the other time i just took the rotor off and put it back on again and it went away!

if it has disk on all four corners i dont know but if its got drums on the back some times brake dust stays in the drum and gets between the shoes and drum and squeeks
