MAP sensor is a Manifold Air Pressure sensor if thats what they mean. Depends what sort of model/year you have i think. Also what ECU you are running etc.
The air flow meter is a little grey plug (for my MY00) that is located on a piece of plastic cylinder just AFTER the air box. If i get a chance and you are still unsure, i can take a picture of mine, wheather it be the same as yours im not sure, again, depends on the model/year. I hate to argue with the makers of my car, but im pretty sure the AFM isnt that close to the throttle :P

Computer wise i dont think they are different. Hence the inability to have 97-00 (from what tuna has said) reflashed in WA. As for Airflow meter, if yours is a MY98 i think you might be shit out of luck. The 98 come out with another model AFM which isnt $216.50. They retail for about $680 or somthing. Someone else on the forum has mentioned this before though.
