Oil cooler factory or not?
Hey guys, i was under my 98 wrx today and was puzzled to find a fluid to fluid oil cooler above my oil filter. Would this be factory or are they only aftermarket? Here's a pic...

ive been told, they're not actually oil coolers, well, in aus thats how they work, but in japan its actually an oil heater to help cope with the farrrrrrking cold temps there

yep, that too. They help keep the oil at a constant temp

Really? heater...your oil heats up before your coolant on start up so maybe it heats the coolant. Just didnt know if wrx's had them as standard, thanks for the info.
