you have a pretty comprehensive list there. There is nothing else that is necessary to get but I would suggest adding a can of upper engine cleaner to that list.

I can supply you one for $15 if you like. I've still got most of a box of upper engine cleaner left. its normally around $17 to $18 dollars or something like that.

Water pump, tensioner and pulleys are not normally done unless needed (won't know until it's stripped. Can be done as a precautionary measure but will bump the price up a fair bit. Especially the tensioner.

Would recommend doing them at 200k if never been done before.

Upper engine cleaner is a kind of solvent so to speak. When you squirt it into your inlet manifold it foams up and coats the walls and valves and slowly dissolves and breaks down any baked up carbon deposits. Basically, you spray it in and let it sit for around 10 minutes to clean the inside. Then you turn on the engine and give it some revs to suck in burn all the dissolved carbon and piss it out of the exhaust. You'll know if your inlet was dirty if a huge stinky cloud streams out of your exhaust and sticks up your neighborhood.

From another website:

======

Because Subarus are a flat four or horizontally opposed (correct technical term) engine they are prone to carbon build up in the inlet manifold.

There is chemical spray you can get to clean it all out which can give significant gains in the overall performance of the engine depending how dirty it is. People with brand new Subarus or guys who have there Subarus serviced at a Subaru dealership will automatically get this done everytime they go in for a service.

But if you do your own oil changes and services this is something you will want to do about every 10,000km's or at every oil change is a good idea. Also if you get your Subaru serviced at just a general mechanic you might want to check with them to see if they are using this stuff, if not do it yourself.

The can cost about $17 from subaru.

Instructions are on the back of the can as far as application is concerned.

On the GC8 model Subaru you pull this gromet off and spray it in there. For newer Subaru models you should be able to find a similar gromet around the top of the IM. For older Subarus if there is no gromet just spray it down a hose that leads into the IM. Once again instructions for application are on the can.

Once done take it for a good drive and put the engine under load, depending on how dirty it is you might blow a fair bit of smoke, this is good (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

*Note: You can also attach a boost guage to the point shown in the pic.
