Default Autowatch Remote Panic Button

Hi All,

I've got the Autowatch 160RLi on my car, and the remote is currently programmed with a remote panic button. This is really annoying as I manage to knock the button all the time, normally with my head in the engine bay.

Anyone know how/if its possible to disable this feature? Can it be done using the LED flashes or would I need to take it to someone?

If its really giving you the shits just open your remote controller up and desolder the microswitch from the board. Make sure you use a soldering pencil though.... big powerful soldering irons don't mix with small PCBs

Seems a little.... permanent

I might take it to someone anyway as the manual said it can be used as a remote boot release with the fitment of a solenoid, which would be handy as mines had the lock shaved.

Aparently you have to push the button twice within a second too so hopefully it wont mean I keep opening the boot accidently

With my autowatch you used to lock it then press the lock button again and it would chirp, then it was disabled

So you do it in quick succession so the car doesn't just unlock again? I will try it tomorrow, cheers
