Seen something similar done before. The mechanic was changing the oil filter and put the new one on without noticing he'd left the previous oil filter's O-ring still on the mount....

New engine came a few days later

fark, so you had two orings and that dropped all the oil? ouch, who wore that? (also cant believe you didnt notice the ton of oil it had dropped, or your engine temps, oil warning etc)

Drivers side would more than likely be turbo oil drain

The CULPRIT:

Oil line going to the oil pressure sender which is remote mounted.....the clamp sliced the through the rubber and eventually sliced its way through the braid of the hose pissed oil everywhere..... will post foto later this week


rubber was very soft i guess anywayz all fixed now i hope....

So engine is all good? No damage I hope. I had a radiator hose crack and was watching the temp gauge go up and up. Shut it off to investigate, so lucky I was paying attention. Only now the temp gauge seems to show it runs hotter by about 2 needle widths than before fingers crossed
