Default DBA 5000 Series Disc Brakes

Just a quick one guys.

As you can see I fitted the 5000 series DBA,s over 12 months ago and they are ready for some machining and new pads again.

I was wondering when they are ready for re placement do you have to replace the whole rotor or can you just replace the outside disc by unbolting the gold inner? Has any one done this as yet and roughly how much for the replacements?

Any thoughts guys.

Cheers Nails

You can just replace the outer disc, the part number for the outer is in the DBA catalogue.

Guys stop taking the piss....

Nails just measure them first and replace only when they hit the manufacturer recommended scrap thickness. Check with DBA, or its usually stamped on them (probably 22mm from memory). As a guide the outer disc is about half the orginal cost i.e. New $850, disc $425 (approx only).

If your not sure drop in to Exleys Tyre and Brake in High Road Willeton and ask Shane to give them a free check for you. Mention PWRX and Maddog to ensure I get my usual kick backs...

Damn those Drilled and Slotted 5000 series look sexy with a gold top hat...

I wore my last set down until the slots were missing...

That was definitely replacement time
