Thanks for the heads up. Just looking for the pitch mount arm to throw in with the kit. I thought the TS kit was ok since it had everything included but being a copy I'll try gather the original cusco items.

My gut feel is that there is better stuff out there than the genuine group n ones. Subaru can charge a horrendous amount more for the group n stuff because those that go rallying have no choice. They have to use the standard stuff or the homologated group n stuff.

Unless you plan on running top 3 in your class at Targa West I would not worry about using the genuine stuff.

Just noticed that Evolution R keeps the Group N parts in stock. Good prices too. Shame that the pitch stop doesn't have some bling about it but at least it is guaranteed to work.

What is the vibration like between Gp N and the Cusco kits for those that have tried each?

Yeah, I've tried them both in the same car back to back. The group N ones made no noticeable difference to harshness over the stock WRX STi square rubber mounts. They probably would on a Liberty with the round fluid filled mounts though. My Intercooler still hit the strut bar with the group N mounts so I would say they are a good option for sport/road use but not for competition use where the rules allow other options.

The Cusco mounts definitely made the car vibrate but stopped the intercooler moving up to the strut bar and the gearstick wobbling around. Definitely a compromise in a everyday car that I wouldn't recommend though.

Appreciate the comments. I drove a MY08 Sti last night which had the Gp N mounts and didnt notice any real harshness. The main thing that I did notice was a little more feel in the clutch plate grabbing. It was a stock clutch too.

I doubt the engine mounts have anything to do with the clutch feel. STi have a much better feeling clutch than 2.5 litre WRX's as the STi still has a proper pull clutch. WRX from MY06 onwards has a push clutch (similar to a non turbo) and they feel heavy and dead.

I think that I could get away with slightly stiffer bushings and mounts but I fear that the cusco's may be pushing it a little too far on the wife acceptance factor.

Can do a full set of GroupN mounts, Whiteline bushings and it will still be acceptable
